I just download the plugin, how do I launch to use it ?

Go into Window > Show View > Other > Eclipse SSH Console > Eclipse SSH Console.
Now a new view appears : this is the Eclipse SSH Console.

I've the view, how can I connect to a SSH Server ?

Click on the add button in the toolbar.
Now a SSH Location dialog appears, it asks for the host, login and password.

There is now two possibilities.

  • If you see :
The host xxx.sourceforge.net is currently unknown to the system
    The host key fingerprint is: 1024: 4c 68 3 d4 5c 58 a6 1d 9d 17 13 24 14 48 ba 99
Do you want to allow this host key? [Yes|No|Always]:
It asks you if you want to authorize the access to this host for ever (always), only for once (yes) or not (no). If you answer always, this question won't be asked again.
  • If see anything, just wait few seconds, normally you answered yet the previous question with the always answer.
I wait a long time, but nothing happens, why ?

This plugin is still in development, don't hesitate to contact me with the following files :
  • .log, in the root/workspace/.metadata/ directory
  • ssh.log, normally in the root directory but can be elsewhere
